Johnny Beam Rockin' Trio was founded in Gnesta, a small town a bit beyond
walking distance from Stockholm, Sweden, in spring 2002. What was aimed to be for
fun and recreation rapidly grew to a high octane, neo-style rockabilly trio renowned for
exciting live performances.
Pelle helped the band with managing and parental guidance and thanks to him we became well
reputed among swedish so called "raggare" all over the country.
Soon we decided to write our own songs, with the goal of making a record. In may 2004 it became
true, when the Buddy Love-produced album "Let's Go!" was released at Buddy Love Records.
In september 2005 Mattias Hellman was found standing behind the drums. Now things really started to
happen. Soon a bunch of very good rockin' songs were recorded and in April 2006 the second album "Werewolf Rock"
was released.
The summer of 2006 looked exciting for us. In July an appearence at the Live 'n' Jive
festival finally came true, a gig the band has struggled for since the beginning. A few weeks
after that we were booked for the Valga Cruising in Estonia. That would be the first time
for the Rockin' Trio to meet an audience outside the country. Tragically, Johnny suddenly died
just a week before the Valga-trip after complications of his diabetes. The Johnny Beam Rockin' Trio
was disbanned.
